Lead data-driven demand forecasting and procurement planning in a manufacturing environment, leveraging Python, SQL, and machine learning to build predictive models and actionable insights for supply chain optimization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain advanced forecasting models using Python and SQL to predict demand, inventory needs, and production schedules.
- Analyze large datasets from ERP and supply chain systems to identify trends, anomalies, and risk factors impacting procurement and manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate analytical findings into actionable procurement plans and production strategies.
- Design and implement dashboards and visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Continuously refine models and processes, incorporating machine learning techniques to improve forecast accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain analytics, demand forecasting, or related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python (pandas, scikit-learn) and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Hands‑on experience with forecasting methods (ARIMA, exponential smoothing, machine learning models).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
