Supervisory Security Specialist - Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and mentor a multidisciplinary security staff in the execution of national security, counterintelligence, insider threat, and supply chain risk management initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies aligned with federal regulations and agency objectives.
• Conduct advanced risk assessments, threat analyses, and vulnerability reviews to identify and prioritize security gaps across the enterprise.
• Coordinate incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents, and report findings to senior leadership.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into system development life cycles and operational processes.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in federal security programs, including national security, counterintelligence, insider threat, and supply chain risk management.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing high‑performing security teams.
• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and security frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GCSM) preferred.
