Software Engineer
Lead a records and information management team to ensure federal compliance, effective storage, retrieval, and disposition of records while supporting FOIA/PA requests and privacy obligations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of records and information management professionals.
- Develop and enforce policies for record creation, retention, retrieval, and disposition in line with federal laws and agency directives.
- Oversee the processing of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Coordinate privacy compliance activities, including data protection assessments and incident handling.
- Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to align records management practices with operational needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in records and information management, preferably within a federal or large‑scale organization.
- Strong knowledge of federal records statutes, FOIA, and privacy regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, manage projects, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with information governance frameworks and electronic records systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
