Lead and manage FEMA’s continuity communication infrastructure, overseeing LAN operations, COMSEC device deployment, and national radio systems while guiding a technical team to ensure secure, reliable communications during emergencies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as senior technical advisor to the Division Director on all continuity communication matters.
- Oversee day‑to‑day management, operation, and integrity of FEMA’s LANs and COMSEC devices.
- Lead the team responsible for maintaining and upgrading the FEMA National Radio Systems.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional stakeholders to align communication solutions with emergency response objectives.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in LAN administration and network security within a federal or large enterprise environment.
- Proficiency with COMSEC equipment and radio communication systems.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage technical teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CISSP, or equivalent) preferred.
