Supervisory IT Specialist Policy Planning/Information Security - Military Treatment Facilities under DHA

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement information security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with DoD 8140.03 and other federal regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and security audits for IT infrastructure and applications.
• Lead incident response efforts, coordinate with cross‑functional teams, and manage remediation plans.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align IT security strategy with organizational goals and mission objectives.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in information security, with experience in policy development and risk management.
• Strong knowledge of network security, threat detection, and incident response frameworks.
• Experience with federal cybersecurity standards (e.g., NIST, DoD 8140.03) and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) preferred.
