About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide second‑level supervisory authority for an IT flight, guiding daily operations and professional development of staff.
- Develop, maintain, and execute strategic plans and resource forecasts that align IT capabilities with mission objectives.
- Manage budgets, contracts, and procurement processes to ensure optimal use of funds and compliance with federal regulations.
- Oversee IT service management practices, including incident, problem, and change management, adhering to ITIL frameworks.
- Coordinate cybersecurity risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to protect critical information systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IT project and program management, preferably within a federal or defense environment.
- Strong knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Familiarity with ITIL service management processes and cybersecurity best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to mentor and develop technical personnel.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP) are highly desirable.
