About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain highly available Linux and Windows Server environments supporting critical VA workloads.
- Manage virtualization platforms, storage arrays, and physical database systems to meet performance and reliability targets.
- Implement and enforce technical, management, and operational security controls across all infrastructure components.
- Lead a team of system administrators, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight.
- Coordinate incident response, problem resolution, and change management activities to minimize service disruption.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise‑level OS and system administration, including Linux and Windows Server.
- Proven expertise with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V) and storage management.
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, and access control mechanisms.
- Experience managing Active Directory, group policy, and identity services.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience supervising technical staff.
