Software Engineer
Lead the management of IT security and infrastructure modernization for a geographically dispersed, hybrid workforce, ensuring system integrity, reliability, and confidentiality across the organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and IT security programs, ensuring compliance with federal standards and protecting sensitive data.
- Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, network upgrades, and automation to support a hybrid work environment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to assess and mitigate risks, develop incident response plans, and maintain business continuity.
- Manage vendor relationships, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend solutions that align with strategic objectives.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive IT security and infrastructure management experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and cross‑departmental collaborations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
