Security Engineer
Lead a team of IT professionals in protecting mission‑critical systems, conducting system analysis, and managing cybersecurity risk across the organization using advanced InfoSec practices and risk management frameworks.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise a team of information security analysts and system engineers to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of networked systems.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with DoD and federal cybersecurity directives.
- Conduct comprehensive system analyses, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate threats.
- Oversee incident response activities, including detection, containment, eradication, and post‑incident reporting.
- Coordinate security architecture reviews and provide guidance on secure system design and integration.
- Prepare technical briefings and status reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field and 5+ years of progressive experience in information security and system analysis.
- Proven leadership experience supervising technical teams in a high‑security environment.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., RMF, NIST SP 800‑53) and experience applying them to large‑scale systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
