About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive information security strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead risk assessment and mitigation efforts, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and industry best practices.
- Oversee incident response activities, coordinating cross‑functional teams to investigate, contain, and remediate security incidents.
- Design and maintain security architecture, including network, application, and data protection controls.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of security analysts and engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in information security, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and incident response processes.
- Demonstrated experience with security architecture design and implementation.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
