About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive information security strategies and policies across multiple federal sites.
- Lead risk assessment and vulnerability management programs, ensuring timely remediation of identified threats.
- Coordinate incident response efforts, conducting investigations, root cause analysis, and post‑incident reviews.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into system design and deployment.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior security staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in information security, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of federal security frameworks (NIST, FISMA, CJIS) and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and encryption solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
