Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Forest Service’s information resources environment, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Facilitate decision‑making for IT infrastructure and business applications across field and leadership teams.
- Coordinate with the Chief Information Officer to prioritize and implement technology initiatives.
- Manage project lifecycles, from requirements gathering to deployment and post‑implementation support.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards for all information systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive IT management experience, including infrastructure and application oversight.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise IT architecture, project management methodologies, and decision support systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and deliver complex technology solutions on time and within budget.
