Software Engineer
Lead and oversee IT operations, ensuring secure, reliable systems and efficient project delivery across federal networks using advanced networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate IT teams to maintain and enhance federal network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security compliance.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards aligned with federal regulations and best practices.
- Lead project management efforts for system upgrades, migrations, and integrations, delivering on time and within budget.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and procurement of hardware, software, and services.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and incident response planning to safeguard critical information assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proven expertise in network administration, cybersecurity frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong project management skills with PMP or equivalent certification a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
