About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary IT team, ensuring timely delivery of technology solutions for water management projects.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and security protocols to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance with federal regulations.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure, database systems, and network architecture.
- Coordinate cross‑functional projects, managing budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project milestones.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance operational efficiency and data integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), database administration, and network design.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, mission‑critical environment with a focus on public service and environmental stewardship.
