Supervisor IT Specialist Policy Planning - Commander, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWARSYSCOM)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain IT policies and procedures aligned with naval information warfare directives.
• Oversee network architecture design and implementation to support fleet installation engineering and logistics operations.
• Lead cybersecurity risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and incident response planning.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources for IT initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
• Coordinate with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to integrate emerging technologies, including cloud services, into the enterprise environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT policy development and governance within a large, mission‑critical organization.
• Strong knowledge of network design, cybersecurity frameworks, and risk management practices.
• Demonstrated project management skills, preferably with ITIL or PMP certification.
• Ability to lead and mentor technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance team culture.
• Clearance eligibility and familiarity with Department of Defense IT standards.
