Software Engineer
Lead a 13‑15 member hardware team designing, manufacturing, and testing instrumentation and control assemblies for plant computer and annunciator systems, driving quality, schedule, and continuous improvement in a clean‑energy environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of hardware engineers, ensuring timely delivery of design, manufacturing, and test activities for instrumentation and control assemblies.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept through production, including schematic capture, PCB layout, enclosure design, and firmware integration.
- Coordinate cross‑functional collaboration with software, mechanical, and quality teams to resolve technical issues and optimize system performance.
- Implement process improvements, cost‑reduction initiatives, and quality metrics to enhance reliability and reduce time‑to‑market.
- Prepare and present technical reports, status updates, and risk assessments to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of hardware engineering experience in instrumentation or control systems, with proven leadership skills.
- Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB design, and test instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma), and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and project management abilities.
