Subsurface AI Specialist - Chevron

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models to optimize subsurface exploration and production workflows.
• Collaborate with geoscientists and engineers to translate domain knowledge into data-driven solutions.
• Implement end-to-end data pipelines, from ingestion and preprocessing to model training and deployment.
• Evaluate model performance, conduct A/B testing, and iterate to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Document methodologies, maintain reproducible codebases, and share insights with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Proven track record in building and deploying deep learning models for complex datasets.
• Knowledge of geoscience concepts and subsurface data (e.g., seismic, well logs) is highly desirable.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for scalable model training and inference.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a global team.
