Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering substation projects, overseeing design, compliance, and construction while ensuring safety, schedule, and budget targets using Power Systems expertise and industry standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and designers through all phases of substation projects, from concept to commissioning.
- Develop and review detailed substation designs, single‑line diagrams, and layout drawings using AutoCAD and industry‑standard tools.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and local utility standards, performing technical reviews and coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, tracking progress and mitigating risks to meet delivery commitments.
- Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration with civil, mechanical, and construction teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering with a focus on substation design and construction.
- Proven project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards, protection coordination, and high‑voltage equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
