About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop telecom architecture for high‑voltage substation sites, including fiber optic networks, radio links, and control systems.
- Collaborate with electrical, civil, and project management teams to integrate telecom solutions into overall substation design.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using CAD and industry software.
- Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and hand‑over phases, troubleshooting issues and validating system performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Experience with substation telecom design, fiber optic installation, and power system communication protocols.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI) and project documentation practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and engineering software; familiarity with SCADA and protection relay systems is a plus.
