Software Engineer
Design and deliver high‑voltage substation projects, applying power systems expertise, IEC standards, and advanced design tools such as AutoCAD and ETAP to support modern grid infrastructure.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical designs for high‑voltage substations, including single‑line diagrams, equipment specifications, and layout drawings.
- Perform load flow, short‑circuit, and protective coordination studies using ETAP or comparable software.
- Ensure all designs comply with IEC, NESC, and local utility standards and integrate seamlessly with overall grid modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—civil, mechanical, and control engineers—to coordinate site layout, grounding, and safety systems.
- Prepare technical reports, construction documents, and tender packages for client review and regulatory approval.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in substation design, engineering, or commissioning.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or MicroStation) for drafting and ETAP for system analysis.
- Strong knowledge of IEC, NESC, and other relevant electrical standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
