Software Engineer
Part‑time student role supporting the court’s IT division with software development, scripting, data processing, and application maintenance using Python, Java, SQL and automation tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain internal applications and scripts to support court operations.
- Write, test, and debug code in Python, Java, and SQL databases.
- Automate routine tasks and workflows using shell scripting and scheduling tools.
- Assist with data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for reporting needs.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled full‑time in an accredited college or university (minimum 12 undergraduate or 9 graduate credit hours).
- Proficiency in Python and Java programming languages.
- Experience with SQL databases and writing queries.
- Familiarity with shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) and automation concepts.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently, and effective communication.
