Data Analyst
Assist the Center for Geospatial and Population Studies in maintaining and analyzing New Mexico's traffic crash database, using Python, SQL, GIS tools, and data visualization techniques to support research and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and validate traffic crash data from multiple sources.
- Perform spatial analysis using GIS software to identify patterns and trends.
- Develop queries and scripts in SQL and Python to automate data processing tasks.
- Create visual dashboards and reports for researchers and stakeholders.
- Document data workflows and ensure data quality standards are met.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to data science, geography, public health, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation.
- Experience with GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data concepts.
- Ability to produce clear visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
