Software Engineer
Experienced Structured Cabling Engineer to design, install, test and commission cabling and active networking systems for commercial clients, ensuring high‑performance Ethernet, fiber and security infrastructure.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, install and terminate structured cabling systems (Cat5e/6/6A, fiber optic) for commercial premises.
- Perform testing, certification and documentation of cabling installations to industry standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC).
- Integrate active networking components such as switches, wireless access points, access control and CCTV systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and client teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- Provide on‑site troubleshooting, fault isolation and remedial work to maintain network performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience installing and certifying structured cabling in B2B environments.
- Strong knowledge of Ethernet standards, fiber optic technologies and related testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and building plans.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent) are preferred.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a safety‑first mindset for working on live sites.
