Store Technology Engineer - Mountain Warehouse
Software Engineer
Hands‑on engineer responsible for maintaining, securing and troubleshooting store technology—including POS, networking and infrastructure—to ensure seamless retail operations and optimal customer experience.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first‑line technical support for point‑of‑sale, back‑office and peripheral devices across all retail locations.
- Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, Wi‑Fi, and server environments to guarantee uptime during trading hours.
- Implement security controls, patch management and incident response to protect store data and customer information.
- Coordinate hardware roll‑outs, upgrades and replacements, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations.
- Document configurations, procedures and service tickets in the ITSM platform, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting retail technology environments, particularly POS and network equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi‑Fi) and hardware troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) and ticketing processes.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including patch management and vulnerability remediation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced retail setting.
