Lead the design, deployment, and support of high‑availability storage and virtualization solutions across multiple data centers, driving large‑scale migrations and ensuring seamless operations for government services platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain storage solutions with high‑availability features across six production data centers and a test site.
- Lead large‑scale migrations from legacy environments to standardized storage and virtualization platforms.
- Collaborate with Active Directory teams to support multi‑domain server processing and integration.
- Monitor and troubleshoot storage performance, capacity, and reliability, ensuring zero downtime.
- Document architecture, procedures, and best practices for future scalability and compliance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in storage systems engineering, including SAN/NAS and cloud‑based storage.
- Proficiency with high‑availability technologies such as clustering, replication, and failover.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and Active Directory integration.
- Experience with data center operations, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a mission‑critical environment.
