Software Engineer
Provide L1/L2 24x7 support for enterprise storage and data protection solutions, troubleshooting SAN environments, managing backups, and scripting automation using Python and Linux tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver L1/L2 technical support for storage arrays, SAN fabrics, and data protection platforms in a 24x7 rotational shift.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and performance issues on NetApp and Dell EMC storage systems.
- Perform backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and compliance with service level agreements.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, shell) to streamline monitoring, reporting, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement patches, firmware upgrades, and capacity planning.
- Document incidents, root‑cause analyses, and knowledge‑base articles for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of hands‑on experience supporting enterprise storage and data protection solutions.
- Strong knowledge of SAN technologies, RAID configurations, and backup software.
- Proficiency with NetApp and Dell EMC product families.
- Solid Linux administration skills and scripting experience, preferably Python.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and effective communication in a global support environment.
