About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering analysis and design for transmission system configuration changes while adhering to NERC and industry standards.
- Support real‑time grid operations by monitoring SCADA data, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating corrective actions.
- Develop and review technical documentation, schematics, and work orders using electrical design software.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate system impacts, conduct load flow studies, and recommend reliability improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and participate in audits to ensure regulatory adherence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 2–4 years of experience in transmission system operations or power engineering.
- Strong knowledge of NERC reliability standards and transmission grid practices.
- Proficiency with SCADA platforms and electrical design/analysis tools such as AutoCAD, PSS®E, or equivalent.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a safety‑focused environment and manage multiple engineering tasks simultaneously.
