About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain end‑to‑end test infrastructure for solid rocket motor development, including hardware, software, and safety interlocks.
- Develop and deploy control software using Python and C++ to automate test sequences, data acquisition, and real‑time monitoring.
- Integrate PLCs and SCADA systems to provide reliable, fault‑tolerant control of test rigs and safety systems.
- Collaborate with propulsion engineers to define test plans, performance metrics, and data analysis workflows.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test repeatability, scalability, and safety compliance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in test infrastructure and controls for high‑performance propulsion or similar high‑stakes environments.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, PLC programming, and SCADA platforms.
- Strong background in data acquisition, signal processing, and safety‑critical system design.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical setting.
- Effective communication skills and a track record of leading technical initiatives.
