Lead site liaison engineering efforts as a Staff Systems Engineer, driving requirements definition, integration, and test activities while coordinating with customers, program managers, and cross‑functional teams on high‑impact defense systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary engineering liaison between the customer site and internal development teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements, schedules, and technical risks.
- Lead systems engineering activities including requirements capture, functional analysis, and verification planning for complex defense platforms.
- Coordinate and oversee test and evaluation events, validating system performance against mission objectives and regulatory standards.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, facilitating technical reviews, status briefings, and issue resolution across multidisciplinary groups.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical direction to ensure compliance with security protocols and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ years of systems engineering experience in defense or aerospace programs.
- Proven experience leading site‑based engineering teams and acting as a technical liaison with customers and government agencies.
- Strong background in requirements analysis, verification & validation, and test execution for complex systems.
- Active Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills, with a willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
