Systems Engineer
Lead the design, integration, and deployment of secure, high‑performance systems across aerospace and defense platforms, leveraging AWS, DevOps practices, and advanced automation to deliver mission‑critical solutions at the highest security levels.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end system solutions for aerospace and defense missions, ensuring compliance with Top Secret security requirements.
- Lead cross‑functional teams in the development, testing, and deployment of secure software and hardware components using AWS cloud services.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and infrastructure as code to accelerate delivery and reduce operational risk.
- Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security hardening activities to protect critical assets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex technical requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, cybersecurity, or DevOps within a defense or aerospace environment.
- Proficiency with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, CloudFormation) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices, threat modeling, and compliance frameworks (NIST, DoD).
- Valid Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
