About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity requirements for embedded aircraft power and control systems in accordance with RTCA DO‑326A, DO‑355, and DO‑356.
- Perform threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability analyses specific to airborne electrical systems.
- Integrate cybersecurity requirements into system architecture, design reviews, and certification documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards and to resolve security‑related issues.
- Lead verification and validation activities, including test planning, execution, and reporting for cybersecurity controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with extensive experience in aerospace systems.
- Deep knowledge of RTCA DO‑326A, DO‑355, and DO‑356 standards and their application to embedded aircraft systems.
- Proven expertise in cybersecurity risk assessment, threat modeling, and requirements engineering for safety‑critical hardware.
- Experience with aircraft electrical power systems, control electronics, and certification processes (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Strong communication and leadership skills to guide multidisciplinary teams and influence certification strategies.
