About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide end‑to‑end server administration and troubleshooting for engineering design environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
- Design, deploy, and maintain virtualized infrastructure (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM) to support development and testing workloads.
- Implement and manage storage solutions, including SAN/NAS, RAID configurations, and high‑speed interconnects.
- Automate routine tasks and system provisioning using Python, Bash, and configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to define requirements, resolve issues, and optimize system architectures.
- Monitor system health, conduct capacity planning, and apply patches/upgrades to keep environments compliant with corporate standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise server administration on Linux and Windows platforms.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM) and storage architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation and tooling.
- Hands‑on experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams.
