Software Engineer
Lead the design and scaling of Built’s AI‑powered data platform, driving end‑to‑end data pipelines, analytics, and ML model deployment on AWS.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain large‑scale data pipelines that ingest, transform, and serve real estate and construction data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize machine learning models, ensuring robust monitoring and performance at scale.
- Lead performance tuning, cost optimization, and reliability improvements across the AWS data stack (Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR).
- Mentor and guide a growing team of data engineers, fostering best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
- Drive cross‑functional initiatives with product, engineering, and business teams to translate complex data needs into actionable solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on data platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed processing frameworks such as Spark.
- Deep experience with AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions).
- Hands‑on background in building and deploying machine learning models at scale.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of leading technical teams.
