Lead the design and implementation of security and privacy controls for a privacy‑focused browser ecosystem, driving threat modeling, cryptographic solutions, and compliance across cloud and client platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute security and privacy strategies for browser, search, and wallet products, ensuring end‑to‑end data protection.
- Conduct threat modeling, code reviews, and security assessments to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Design and implement cryptographic protocols, key management, and secure communication mechanisms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed privacy‑by‑design principles and secure development practices into the product lifecycle.
- Maintain compliance with global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards, producing audit‑ready documentation.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior security engineers and cross‑functional partners.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in security and privacy engineering, preferably in consumer‑facing software.
- Deep expertise in threat modeling, cryptography, and secure software development lifecycle.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud security (AWS) and identity/access management solutions.
- Strong knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and ability to translate them into technical controls.
- Proven track record of influencing product design and driving security initiatives in fast‑moving environments.
