Security Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of secure product features for a cloud‑based SaaS platform, driving architecture, threat modeling, and security best practices across the customer platform team.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end‑to‑end security controls for the customer platform, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal security policies.
- Lead threat modeling workshops and risk assessments for new product features, translating findings into actionable design improvements.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to embed security into the CI/CD pipeline and automate security testing.
- Define and maintain security architecture documentation, including secure design patterns, data flow diagrams, and incident response playbooks.
- Mentor junior engineers on secure coding practices, secure architecture, and emerging security technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering within a SaaS environment.
- Deep knowledge of secure software architecture, threat modeling, and secure coding practices.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and related IAM, encryption, and network security controls.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex security concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with automated security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) and CI/CD integration.
