Staff DevOps Engineering (w/m/d) Build & AI-Ops

About the Role

As a Staff DevOps Engineer specializing in Build & AI-Ops, you will be the architect for Developer Velocity. Your primary goal is to eliminate every second of friction in the engineering lifecycle, ensuring that a complex, multilingual project (C++/Node.js) feels as lightweight and responsive as a modern greenfield app. You will not simply manage servers; you will be responsible for the AI-Ops infrastructure that empowers our Specialists and Staff Engineers to work at triple speed.

Responsibilities

• Environment Mastery: Design and operate a "5-minute onboarding" workflow using Docker and DevContainers, ensuring that "it runs on my machine" is a reality for every new team member.
• AI-Ops & RAG Management: Operate the team's local AI infrastructure, including Retrieval-Augmented-Generation (RAG) clusters, Cursor skill libraries, and individual documentation indexing that feeds our LLMs.
• The Bridge-Pipeline: Automate and optimize the highly complex compile and hot-reload cycle between the OnlyOffice C++ core and the Node.js/JavaScript frontend.
• Autonomous CI/CD: Develop "intelligent" pipelines that not only report errors but also analyze logs using AI and automatically suggest (or directly apply) patches for fragile legacy build steps.
• Performance Guardrails: Implement "Continuous Profiling" in the build chain to detect 16-ms frame budget violations before code even reaches a Pull Request.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge in Docker, GitHub Actions/Jenkins, and Makefile/CMake environments.
• Expertise in Python, Go, or Rust for building high-performance internal automation tools.
• Profound experience with modern web toolchains (Vite, Webpack, esbuild) and optimizing large JavaScript monorepos.
• Experience with vector databases or self-hosting LLMs (Ollama/LocalAI) is a significant plus.
• The AI Factor: You are the team's "Prompt Architect" for infrastructure. You utilize models like Claude Opus 4.6 Max and specialized DevOps agents to automate routine operational work, focusing your human intelligence on systemic optimizations and creating a seamless "flow state" for the development team.
• The Gaming Advantage: Experience in AAA Game Build Engineering is particularly valuable.
