Data Engineer
Lead end‑to‑end data engineering for a cloud‑native telecom platform, building scalable pipelines, data models, and analytics services using Python, Spark, SQL, AWS, and Airflow.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain large‑scale data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store telecom telemetry and customer data across AWS services.
- Implement robust data models and schemas in Snowflake/Redshift to support real‑time analytics and reporting.
- Automate workflow orchestration with Airflow, ensuring high availability, monitoring, and alerting for critical data processes.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to expose clean, high‑quality datasets for ML and business intelligence.
- Optimize performance and cost of data workloads, leveraging Spark, SQL, and serverless compute options.
Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering experience in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Apache Spark, and SQL.
- Hands‑on experience with Airflow and modern data warehouse solutions.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL best practices, and data quality principles.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
