Lead the design and scaling of a cloud-native AI platform, driving backend architecture, performance, and team excellence using Python, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable, high‑availability backend services for an AI cloud platform, ensuring performance and reliability at scale.
- Lead a cross‑functional engineering team, mentoring developers, setting coding standards, and driving best practices in CI/CD and automated testing.
- Collaborate with product, data science, and DevOps to translate business requirements into robust, secure microservices.
- Own the end‑to‑end delivery pipeline, from design through deployment on AWS, leveraging Kubernetes for orchestration.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve system resilience, observability, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of backend development experience, with deep expertise in Python and Go.
- Proven track record leading engineering teams in a fast‑paced, cloud‑native environment.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services (ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda) and Kubernetes cluster management.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring and building high‑performing teams.
