Research Engineer

About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive research agendas that span multiple product teams, focusing on large language models, generative AI, and recommendation technologies.
- Design, prototype, and evaluate novel machine learning algorithms, ensuring scalability and robustness for cloud deployment.
- Publish high‑impact research papers in premier conferences and journals, and contribute to open‑source repositories.
- Mentor and lead junior researchers and engineers, fostering collaboration and guiding technical direction.
- Translate research outcomes into production‑ready solutions, collaborating with engineering and product stakeholders.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry research experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience leading research projects across multiple teams.
- Strong expertise in machine learning, including LLMs, generative AI, NLP, and recommendation systems.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++ for building and scaling research prototypes.
- Track record of peer‑reviewed publications in top AI conferences or journals.
