Staff AI Engineer Knowledge - SCAN Health Plan

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop large‑scale knowledge‑centric AI systems that ingest clinical, claims, and member data.
• Design and implement NLP pipelines and knowledge graph pipelines to extract, normalize, and link entities across heterogeneous health datasets.
• Lead model research and productionization, including deep‑learning architectures, embeddings, and reasoning engines.
• Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, and clinicians to translate business needs into scalable AI solutions.
• Establish best practices for model monitoring, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement in a regulated healthcare environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building machine‑learning/NLP systems, preferably in healthcare or related domains.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Demonstrated expertise with knowledge representation techniques, ontologies, and graph databases.
• Experience deploying and managing AI workloads on AWS (SageMaker, EC2, Lambda, etc.).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to cross‑functional teams.
