AI Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of Teradata’s agent harness, building a scalable runtime that empowers AI agents to plan, execute, and iterate on complex analytics across hybrid cloud environments.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop the core runtime for AI agents, ensuring high availability and scalability across on‑prem, cloud, and hybrid deployments.
- Integrate advanced machine learning pipelines, natural language understanding, and knowledge graph services into the agent harness.
- Collaborate with data engineering and product teams to expose unified data, context, and business rules to agents.
- Implement observability, monitoring, and automated testing for continuous delivery of agent capabilities.
- Mentor and guide a small team of engineers, driving best practices in code quality, security, and performance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on AI/ML systems.
- Proficiency in Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services (SageMaker, Lambda, ECS).
- Strong background in designing distributed, event‑driven architectures and knowledge graph integration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud‑native observability tools.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
