About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimization of welding procedures for high‑performance driveline and sealing components.
- Conduct root cause analysis and failure investigations to improve weld integrity and reduce defects.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to implement process improvements and maintain ISO compliance.
- Utilize materials science knowledge to select appropriate alloys and welding parameters for diverse powertrain applications.
- Document and maintain welding procedure specifications, work instructions, and quality records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of welding engineering experience in automotive or heavy‑equipment manufacturing.
- Proficiency in welding codes (AWS, ISO 3834) and quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in FMECA, statistical process control, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a cross‑functional environment.
