AutoZone's Sr. Experience (UI/UX) Designer produces a best-in-class, user-centered design by supporting key product team partners via competitive analysis and design research, product architecture and conceptual mockups, and delivering high-fidelity, production-ready comps.
The Sr. Experience (UI/UX) Designer will:

The Sr. Experience (UI/UX) Designer will strive to be ever curious about our customer's interaction with our product, to be lean and nimble focused on outcomes and optimal output, always have a team attitude, and be respectful as we fight for our users.
- Work collaboratively with product managers/owners, designers, and developers to prioritize the product team's design needs in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Leverage user research, both qualitative and quantitative, from the research and analytics teams
- Assembles competitive analysis and best practices to provide insight regarding the consumer market, trends, and our customer needs as it applies to specific projects
- Deliver user-centric Visual and Interaction Design
- Take ownership of projects, design work, and maintain availability to help ensure proper understanding of the design before, during, and after handoff
- Help to define essential user journeys/experiences and functional requirements with a product team from a design perspective
- Presenting design work back to business stakeholders and advise on experience design best practices
- In some cases, work with digital agencies to support projects & activities to ensure experience design-related deliverables meet our quality standards and adhere to our brand guidelines
- When appropriate, mentor and/or manage other designers. Provide guidance, support as needed. Assess performance regularly and develop actions plans that support professional development and career progression as per AutoZone's career development framework
Skills
- Established knowledge in User Experience and Interaction Design methodologies with a solid understanding of reusable patterns and Design Systems
- The ability to evaluate and distill qualitative/quantitative research and analytic data and then present the results in an understandable, concise and clear manner
- A creative thinker who can also think practically and provide solutions to a variety of business problems
- Strong ability to self-direct, organize, and manage multiple complex projects within the constraints of business and customer needs
- Strong ability to clearly and concisely present ideas, proposals, strategy, and UI/UX concepts to a large cross-functional audience
- Ability to work and lead a team within a fast-paced, agile environment while not compromising on the high quality of thinking, approach, and deliverables
