Software Engineer
Lead traffic and transportation engineering for large infrastructure projects, focusing on Dubai RTA‑compliant temporary traffic management, impact assessments, junction analysis, and coordination of design, approvals, and construction‑phase traffic operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement temporary traffic management (TTM) plans, diversions, and staging for major infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with Dubai RTA standards.
- Conduct permanent traffic impact assessments (TIA), junction performance studies, and access planning to evaluate and mitigate project effects on existing networks.
- Coordinate traffic signage, road markings, and signal design with design and construction teams to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow.
- Prepare and submit authority approval packages, liaising with highways, utilities, and municipal agencies throughout the design and construction phases.
- Support construction‑phase traffic management, monitoring on‑site operations, and adjusting plans as needed to maintain safety and minimize disruption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in traffic engineering and transport planning, with proven expertise in TTM, TIA, and junction analysis.
- Strong knowledge of Dubai RTA guidelines and international traffic design standards.
- Proficiency in traffic modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro, HCS) and CAD tools.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for multi‑disciplinary team environments.
