About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure on AWS for classified defense projects.
- Lead system architecture reviews, ensuring compliance with DoD security and operational standards.
- Develop and automate deployment pipelines using Python, Ansible, and Terraform to accelerate delivery cycles.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate network, storage, and compute resources into unified solutions.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and hardening of Linux‑based systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on secure coding and system design.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering for defense or high‑security environments.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to maintain and renew.
- Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM) and Linux system administration.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, DISA STIG) and network security principles.
