About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy highly secure, scalable cloud architectures on AWS for sensitive government and enterprise workloads.
- Implement automation and CI/CD pipelines using Python, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation to accelerate delivery and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and operations teams to embed best practices and meet stringent Australian Government security requirements.
- Integrate AI and machine learning services to enhance data processing, threat detection, and operational insights.
- Provide technical mentorship and code reviews, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in AWS cloud engineering, with deep knowledge of compute, networking, and security services.
- Proficiency in Python and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards, and Australian Government clearance processes.
- Hands‑on experience with AI/ML services (SageMaker, Rekognition, Comprehend) and data analytics pipelines.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset.
