Lead the design and implementation of robust technology controls and assurance frameworks for an all‑electric aircraft program, ensuring compliance with aviation safety, cybersecurity, and industry standards while driving risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and evolve enterprise‑wide technology controls, policies, and procedures to meet aviation safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead assurance activities, including audits, assessments, and penetration testing, to validate control effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (systems engineering, manufacturing, operations) to embed security and safety controls early in the product lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain risk registers, mitigation plans, and compliance documentation aligned with ISO 27001, NIST, and aviation authority standards.
- Provide executive‑level reporting on control maturity, audit findings, and risk posture, driving data‑driven decision making.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technology controls, assurance, or cybersecurity within regulated or high‑integrity industries.
- Deep knowledge of aviation safety standards (e.g., FAA, EASA) and cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Proven track record leading complex assurance programs, audits, and risk management initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud security, secure software development life cycle, and continuous monitoring tools is a plus.
