About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance software for the Ground Missile Defense Weapon System, ensuring real‑time data processing and decision making.
- Integrate sensor data streams using ROS and C++ to identify and characterize inbound ballistic threats.
- Implement machine learning models in Python to enhance threat detection accuracy and optimize intercept strategies.
- Collaborate with embedded systems teams to deploy software on mission‑critical hardware platforms.
- Utilize AWS services for data storage, analytics, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
- Conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and performance tuning to meet stringent reliability and safety standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in defense or aerospace environments.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, with strong object‑oriented design skills.
- Hands‑on experience with ROS, real‑time operating systems, and embedded software development.
