About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls for a dedicated AWS cloud platform supporting national security operations.
- Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security architecture reviews to safeguard critical data and services.
- Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and post‑mortem analysis for security events.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and compliance frameworks aligned with Australian Government requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in cloud security, preferably within AWS environments.
- Strong knowledge of threat modeling, vulnerability management, and incident response processes.
- Proficiency with security tools such as IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and CloudTrail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast‑paced environment.
- Australian citizenship and eligibility for an Australian Government Security Clearance.
