Sr Principal Mission Management Software Engineer - Raytheon

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and integrate high‑performance mission management software for complex aerospace systems.
• Lead technical design reviews, code inspections, and performance optimization for real‑time embedded environments.
• Apply Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to ensure traceability from requirements to implementation.
• Mentor and guide cross‑functional teams in Agile processes, fostering best practices in software quality and security.
• Collaborate with hardware, test, and operations teams to validate software in simulated and live mission scenarios.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing C++/Python applications on Linux for real‑time, safety‑critical systems.
• Proven expertise in embedded software engineering, including low‑latency communication, concurrency, and memory management.
• Strong background in MBSE tools (e.g., SysML, Rhapsody) and experience translating system models into executable code.
• Demonstrated ability to lead Agile teams, conduct technical reviews, and deliver high‑quality software on schedule.
• Active TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain) and U.S. citizenship.
